Patients
We assist patients and physicians in navigating the complicated and changing landscape of specialty medications.
When you receive a prescription for a specialty medication, our pharmacists help you through the maze of questions you may have.
While written information is provided about the medication and the way to use it, our pharmacists can make it much easier to understand.
Usually, while we are checking with your insurance company, one of our staff will call you and explain how the process of getting your medication works. At that time, you may also speak with a pharmacist. They will talk to you about how your specialty medication works, how to administer the medication, what to watch for in terms of potential reactions, what to do if you have a reaction, and answer any questions you may have.
The Prescription Process
Prescription Order Received From MD
Your demographic & insurance information as well as the medication ordered is entered into our pharmacy system, and we will begin the Prior Authorization process (if necessary).
Insurance Approval
When the insurance company approves your medication, we will contact you to plan for delivery. At that time, if you have further questions, a pharmacist is available to consult with you. We deliver the medication to your home, or if applicable to the MD office.
Schedule Pickup or Delivery
We deliver the medication to your home, or if applicable to the MD office. When it is time for your next delivery, we will contact you to arrange for the next delivery. When it is time for your prescription to be renewed, we will contact your physician and obtain refill authorization in time for your next delivery.
Refilling your medications through Evergreen is easy.
Prescription refills are easy. We follow the progress of your prescription from beginning to end.
